Fun Run in aid of Peter McAvoy Memorial Fund

Some of you may know Peter McAvoy who was a former pupil at Craigie.  Pete died suddenly whilst in the States doing a football scholarship.  The heart condition that Pete died of can usually be detected by a short test which is currently not being carried out as a matter of course.  A campaign is underway to convince the Scottish Government that every pupil in Scotland should be entitled to this test.

To this end, and to raise money for the Peter McAvoy Memorial Fund, a fun run is taking place at Harris playing fields on Thursday 21st September between 4pm and 7pm (you don't need to be there for the whole time).  Entry is a £2 minimum donation and you can walk or run on a circuit within the playing fields for as long or as little as you like.

For those of you who don't know, the Harris playing fields are at Elliot Road off Blackness Road (between Victoria Park and the circle at Glamis Road) and you can get a 73 right through to a stop very close in Blackness Road.
