Modern Studies Challenge Winners

Craigie High School was delighted to host the prize giving ceremony for the Modern Studies Presentation Challenge, sponsored by the Dundee Pensioners Forum. Pupils in s1/2 modern studies classes across the city were encouraged to research and compile a presentation about the achievements and challenges facing older members of the community.

Members of Dundee Pensioners Forum John McCallion (former Dundee East MP, MSP and modern studies teacher) and Pauline Walker (former STUC Women’s Officer), presented the trophies, certificates and monies to the three winning teams.

John McCallion and Pauline Walker presented prizes to Jessica Mannion, Anna McMahon, Leia Reilly from St Johns’ (first prize). Also awards went to Lucy Burke and Charlotte Clifford (Harris) and Lara Taylor, Carly Millar, Amy McKay (Craigie).
