Our Vision

Our department’s vision is focused firmly on the premise that our learners will be given the best possible opportunity to learn effectively, in a stimulating and engaging environment, where they will learn about the inter-relationships between food, diet, health, and consumer science. Learners are supported to maximise their full potential and realise their own personal ambitions.

 

The department consist of three fully equipped kitchens and one multi- purpose room.

We aim to help our pupils:-

  • gain the knowledge and skills needed to make healthy food choices and establish lifelong healthy eating habits.
  • develop knowledge and understanding of the importance of food hygiene.
  • become informed consumers capable of making decisions relating to their choice of foods, products and services.
