Our Vision

As a department we work to ensure that the schools values of respect, equality, determination, responsibility and honesty are encompassed in everything we do to help all pupils have the skills to allow them to be equipped for any situation and to give them the skills necessary to be life long learners.

In the department we aim for all pupils to have an enjoyable experience which helps them to achieve their potential. As a department we aim to ensure that our knowledge of learning and teaching is kept up to date alongside using all data accessible we aim to reduce that attainment gap and provide students with the best learning experience possible. Skills learned in our department play a key part in preparing pupils for the world of work and being able to relate learning to real life scenarios helps our students develop not only problem solving but also their character which allow them to be prepared not only for learning but to cope with any situation in the future.

Course Information

The Business Education Department provides a wide range of courses to cover all abilities. All courses aim to develop pupil skills for work,
learning and life by adopting an enterprising approach.

These include:

* Curriculum for Excellence: Business in S3

* Administration & IT - National 3, 4, 5 and Higher

* Business - National 4

* Business Management - National 5 and Higher
