Our Vision
The Computing Department in Craigie High School is committed to developing and delivering a wide-ranging variety of up-to-date Computing courses. Each of our courses is designed to engage our pupils, help develop their character strengths and give them the necessary skills to live and work in the digital age. Every pupil leaving Craigie High School should have a good basic knowledge of computers and will have developed valuable practical digital skills to equip them for the future.
Our department aims to deliver a curriculum which allows all of our pupils to flourish and to experience as much success as possible, taking into account their different skills, abilities and attributes. Our courses best meet the needs of our pupils by developing their skills and knowledge so they can confidently utilise the most up to date technology.
Course Information
BGE Computing (S1 – S3) – Pupils are introduced to a variety of topics such as Programming and Web Design as well as consolidating their existing knowledge by using more general purpose applications. The clear progression pathway our courses offer from S1 through to S3 ensures all of our pupils are equipped with the necessary skills to access the Computing curriculum in senior phase.
Senior Phase (S4 – S6) – We offer a wide range of Computing courses to meet the diverse needs of our pupils. Courses currently on offer in the department are:
Computing Science – N3, N4, N5, H
Computer Games Development – NPA levels 4, 5 and 6
PC Passport - NPA levels 4, 5 and 6
Digital Media - NPA levels 4 and 5
